Popping in...

... to say "hi".

I love the simplicity of these cards. I made two sets of "simple" 3x3 cards a couple of weeks ago. I made a green set and this pink set. I REALLY liked the green set and I was too lazy to take pictures of it and it sold at the neighborhood event we attended this weekend. I should have taken a picture!! Good thing they were simple... it shouldn't be very hard to make another set. =)
These cards are pretty straight-forward:
- Cameo Coral CS
- White textured CS
- Choc. Chip ink
- Ruby Red ink
- Fundamental Phrases (HI THERE)
- Botanical Blooms (from Sale-a-Bration)
Card size is 3"x3". I inked the edges directly with the ruby red stamp pad. That just darkens and defines it a bit. Botanical Blooms is a two-step stamping set, so I stamped the filler with Ruby Red and the outline with Choc. Chip ink. The sentiment was then stamped with Choc. Chip ink. and the white textured square was dimensionaled onto the front of the card. =)

Anyway, thought it was about time I stopped back in here to update this forgotten blog and say something on it! So I said "hi!" and now I'm saying "bye"! =)

I'm Still Here!

Wow! It has been a lot time since I have posted on here! I have not had time for digital scrapping and I don't think I will for some time. My mom and I have been keeping ourselves busy with our little Etsy shop and local classes here in our little neck of the woods, along with LIFE! =)

Today I worked at the smoothie shop that my husband and I own. We are short-handed on Fridays, so I'm the fill-in! LOL! One of the employees asked me today who I was working for and another employee said, "No one! She's on the schedule!" Well... let's hope not for too long. ;-)

As far as crafting goes, we had our first real custom order last month for a wedding guest list book/album and it was quite an endeavor, but it was very rewarding to complete and send off! I haven't heard back from the bride-to-be yet, but I did send her pictures and she was very happy with those! Here's some pictures so you can get an idea of what we made for her!

What I've Been Busy Doing...

So I haven't been updating this blog very much! I haven't had a lot of time to digi-scrap, but I've been working on other crafting so I'll share some of that!

Here's some love notes I've made for the Etsy store that I share with my mom. I made a set of pink and a set of rose red. Don't you love the gold?!

Of course, most of the materials used for these are from Stampin' Up! Have you seen the new catalog? There are some cute ideas in it for sure and I also spotted a new border punch that is so sweet!

TFL! Have a nice day! =D
Oh, BTW, I realized I never posted a freebie for Friday... will post one this coming Friday. =P

Better Late Than Never...

Alright, I got a page done with FFF#4. I know it's almost an hour past Friday, but I got it done and here it is:

I used the papers and elements instead of the QP. I loved the tree in the background and found this picture of Jacob and my dad. It just made me thankful that Jacob has someone like my dad to look up to, not because of who my dad is exactly, but WHO he believes and trusts in. In case you can't read the text on the page, the following is the journaling and the verse:

"I am so glad that my son has a grandpa like my dad. He is strong like a tree, whose roots go deep in the ground. My dad has built his life on Christ, the Solid Rock. Jacob is a tender sapling, learning how to grow. He has people around him to point him to the Lord. People like my dad."

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose trust is in the Lord. For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit." Jeremiah 17:7-8

Being a flake again...

Well, as you can see, I have nothing new to show you... and it's Friday! Yikes! Well, I am going to drag this on another week and that will give me some more time to make something with last week's FFF. I'll catch you later!
